The Clarksville Edelweiss Club was formed on January 9, 1980, by the State of Tennessee as a not-for-profit organization, for the purpose of upholding and promoting German heritage and tradition.
The Club presently has members of both German and American decent. But you dont have to be German decent to be a member. The Edelweiss Club is a social center for folks of a common hertage and their friends. It is a place where you can have fun, sing, dance, meet friends, and make new ones.
Every 2nd Wednesday of the month at 7:00pm we have a membership meeting where guest are always welcome!!!!!
Since its start, the Edelweiss Club has supported many community projects such as:
Veterans Transportation Service, American Cancer Society "Relay for Life"
Clarksville/Montgomery Community Action Agency, Big Brothers and Sisters Bowl for Kids Sake, Customs House Museum and Culture Center, Christmas at Clarksville, German Easter and Christmas Service at the Beautiful Savior Luthern Church, Loaves and Fishes, Human Society, Salvation Army, Boy Scout Troop 525, Shelter for abused women, Austin Peay State University (Scholarship), Good Samaritan, Hendersonville Police Academy, and Cats R Us.
We are also a Member of the Clarksville Chamber of Commerce.
